Dr Simon Toms

MSc, BDS (Adel), MOrth RCS (Edin)
Simon is an Adelaide local. He gained his dental qualifications from the University of Adelaide and then seeking a sea-change, moved to Shepparton in rural Victoria to cut his teeth in general dentistry. He worked for several years in a bustling dental practice as well as teaching the undergraduate dentists at the University of Melbourne.
Simon then moved the other side of the world for his specialist training at King’s College London in the UK. He completed his postgraduate training with a series of published articles and and was then admitted to the Royal College of Dental Surgeons in Edinburgh. Simon is an Australian-Accredited Specialist Orthodontist with AHPRA. He works in partnership with his father – Dr Andrew Toms – as Adelaide’s only father/son team in orthodontic practice.
Simon is currently a sitting councillor of both the SA Branch of the Australian Society of Orthodontists as well as on the federal ASOFRE (Australian Society of Orthodontists Foundation for Research and Eduction) committee.
Simon embraces new technology and uses the latest in evidence-based treatment and techniques. Simon has experience working with all ages and his compassionate and patient approach makes him an ideal choice for those with dental anxiety or those who may have social or communicative difficulties. He works at our surgeries in North Adelaide, Marion, Broken Hill, Roxby Downs and Alice Springs.
Outside of orthodontics, Simon has a great love of football, cricket, winemaking, travelling and spending time with his wife, son and two dogs.
